Abstract

The debate between the exponents of the hypothesis of evolution and Christianity over the origin of the Universe is regularly being resumed. The fundamental worldview is of vital importance to men: without it they would be lost in the nonsensical host of various scientific theories, empirical data and philosophical speculations. In the ideal case science is called to gain knowledge of nature while religion is called to resolve issues of the viewpoint upon the world as well as morality questions. However, from the time of The Enlightenment up to the present day, atheists have been attempting to use science for the purpose of justifying their secular views and of opposing such views to Christianity. In the The third part of this article discusses the possibility of empirical verification of the evolutionary and biblical cosmological models of the origin of the Universe.
