The celebrations of the conclusion of peace and the ‘health bowl’ (zazdravnaya chasha) to Peter I

The article deals with the celebrations associated with the end of the Northern War and the conclusion of the Peace of Nishtadt, on the occasion of which a Thanksgiving service was created, as well as the relics of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky were transferred from Vladimir to St. Petersburg. The church services for these celebrations and the text of the ‘health bowl’ (welcome speech) to Peter I are considered on the basis of chant manuscripts of the beginning of the XVIII century, as well as the diary of F. V. Berkholtz, one of Peter I’s contemporaries, who left detailed notes about the last years of the life of the first Russian emperor.
