International scientific conference "Witness of the Century: to the 100th anniversary of Aza Alibekovna Taho-Godi"

Abstract

This review provides information about the conference, which was timed to the anniversary of the outstanding classical philologist, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honored Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Professor of the Department of Classical Philology of the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, spiritual daughter and life partner of the great Russian philosopher A. F. Losev. Publisher and co-author of a number of his works, by her 90th birthday she was awarded the Silver Medal of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences «For Contribution to the Development of Philosophy» and the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Euphrosyne, Grand Duchess of Moscow, 1st degree, and by her 100th birthday — the Order of Equal to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, 1st degree. The conference was held in six sections: «A. A. Takho-Godi: origins and family traditions»; «A. A. Takho-Godi — a scientist, teacher, cultural worker, writer»; «Antique culture in myths, symbols and terms»; «Antiquity in Russian culture»; «The legacy of A. F. Losev: problems of study»; «From the history of world culture». In more detail, the review presents reports related to the philosophical and theological problems of A. F. Losev’s legacy, most of the reports on other topics are characterized in general terms.
