Abstract

In this article, based on the personal characteristics of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky described in the hagiographic literature and other sources, parallels are drawn between the ministry of Orthodox pastors and secular leaders. The author considers the personality of the Holy Prince Alexander as a model and an example for the imitation by ecclesiastical and secular leaders and draws attention to the universal virtues that they should possess. The main method in determining God-pleasing service to people is the avoidance of extremes and the pursuit of holiness among both secular and church leaders.
