Abstract

The paper explores the role of repetition as the most important artistic means in medieval texts at the example of the «Life of Alexander Nevsky», created in the XIII century. Phonetic, word-formation, lexical, morphological, syntactic types of repetition are considered. The functions of repetition at the level of text construction and creation of the central image of the Holy Prince Alexander are identified.
