Abstract

The article analyzes Christian-anthropological ideas in the works of the writer Boris Shergin. Their central place in the writer’s diaries is indicated, and the main sources of these ideas are identified. It is concluded that the most important of them are the key Christian ideas about man as the image and likeness of God and about human nature as a God-established hierarchy of bodily, mental and spiritual principles. Among the features of the image of God in man interpreted in diaries, the greatest attention is paid to the idea of personality, the endowment of a person with a mind or spirit, as well as the ability to create. The article shows the internal ideological unity of both diary entries and notes not published during the author’s lifetime as well as his published works of art, the common Christian-anthropological basis of what was written.
