Abstract

Article is devoted to linguistic features of two canons to Maxim the Confessor, which are part of the Novgorod Service Minaios the 11 th — 12 th centuries. Although the texts have been introduced into scientific discurse they have not been fully studied from the linguistic point of view. By the 12 th century the Old Russian translation of the Old Slavonic language had been formed, however, the Old Russian Church spelling norms had not been completely established. The article studies correlation of Old Slavonic and Old Russian orthographies.
