Abstract

For the fi rst time a translation of the treatise inscribed with the name of St. Athanasius the Great «Against all Heresies» (spuria) into Russian from Greek is published, which contains a polemic against Arians, Pneumatomachians, Paul of Samosata, Manichaeans, Marcion, Valentine, Basilides, Hierax, Novatians, Monatnists and Apollinarians. The treatise in a review form shows a picture of the ancient Christian controversy with heresies III — the beginning of the V centuries and gives to the Сhurch reader the Biblical arguments for an eff ective polemic against the aforementioned heretics.
