Abstract

Sermons IV–V on Job of Leontius, presbyter of Constantinople (unknown author of V cent.) is an interesting text of homiletic literature of Early Byzantine period. They were written for reading during Holy Week and touching not only exegesis of this famous Old Testament Book and the person of righteous Job, but open in the light of Christian interpretation the teaching of Orthodox attitude to sufferings, problem Theodicy, demonology, Eschatology and other ethic and theological themes.
