Archbishop Nikon (Rozhdestvensky) and Chashnikovskaya Secondary Parochial School

Abstract

This article discusses the history of the emergence and main stages of Chashnikovskaya second-class parochial school development, built by Archbishop Nikon (Rozhdestvensky) in his native village near Moscow. The features of the educational process are traced, and assess the Archbishop Nikon (Rozhdestvensky) activities in the functioning of the school. The article defi nes the place of the Chashnikovskaya second-class parish school in the educational space of the Ozeretsky volost of Mooskovsky district. The activities of teachers, students and school graduates promoting literacy, patriotic and spiritual and moral values among the local population of neighboring villages is considered too.
