Abstract

The article examines the articles of St. Innocent (Borisov): on the existence of God, on the necessity of miracles for the religion of revelation, written by him for the magazine «Christian reading» during his teaching at the St. Petersburg Theological Academy. The author analyzes the arguments of St. Innocent, their connection with the tradition of ecclesiastical-academic philosophy, closeness to the position of Jacobi, criticism of rationalism in Western theology by St. Innocent, his approach to the philosophy of religion of Kant.
