Abstract

In modern Russia, Neo-protestant sects, Baptists in particular, aim to claim to be protestant denominations and state that they practice the same Christology as the Orthodox. The study object of this article is to investigate specific features of the Baptist doctrine on the connection of the Divine and Human nature in Christ hypostasis, to identify the specific features of the Baptist belief of the coinherence (perichoresis, communicatio idiomatum), and to analyse the Baptist doctrine on reciprocal influence of the two natures, in particular, the question of knowledge in Christ. The range of questions under discussion includes the baptists’ views on the Virginal Conception and Ever Virginity of Godmother, that are also connected with Christology.
